KeepVibesNear

KeepVibesNear is an alternative R&B artist from London. With the looks of a 90s R&B superstar and a delivery that owes more to King Krule than to D’Angelo, KVN is different. Raised in Romford with family ties in Nigeria, he calls his music “noir R&B” due to the low, melancholic vibes.

His mixture of lyricism and a sultry melodic sound makes for honest and heartfelt listening. With the theme of troubled love running through the river of KVN’s story, he brings a refreshing vulnerability to his music.

Nathan Ball

Everything about singer- songwriter Nathan Ball feels unforced. A natural, easy, calming presence, his music scales universal emotional highs with as much fluidity as it descends into moody introspection.

Finding inspiration in the outdoors, much of Nathan’s material is connected to his surroundings. “It’s where I write best; by the sea, in the mountains, in the woods. I love being totally immersed in nature so naturally those themes find their way into the music.  I love being in the ocean – just being in it and feeling totally insignificant. It’s a reminder of the order of things.”

Nathan’s work fuses two chief loves – classic song writing and an eagerness to experiment and push sonic boundaries. Perhaps unexpectedly, he finds inspiration in left-field house music. “I love the way it makes you feel – it’s euphoric, but sad, introverted but expressive.  I love that darker side of the genre”

Based in Cornwall – Nathan Ball’s music possesses universal appeal, his breakout singles “Right Place”, “Drifting”, ‘Borders’ and ‘Just Say Something’ connected with audiences in the UK and internationally. 2019 saw Nathan release new music and tour throughout the UK, Germany, The Netherlands, France, Sweden, Denmark, Australia and Sweden.

Recently Nathan has been excited to get back to basics. After recording an EP of new material, in 2022 he toured it in unique spaces rather than traditional music venues. From floating barges to rooftop carparks, clifftops to shipping containers, he created unique places for people to connect with music and each other.

In 2023 Nathan tours the UK with Australian folk pop legend Ziggy Alberts, and will release his new EP ‘Beyond the Silence’.

KAMAKAZE

Leicester born footballer/rapper hybrid Kamakaze is a force to be reckoned with, slaying the game both on and off the pitch. His lifelong love of Grime and Hip-Hop are manifested in his unique lyrical prowess, delivered by his deep and gravelly tone over ear-worm beats.

As a testament to his talents, Kama became the first person ever to feature as an in-game character in FIFA 20, as well as having a song on the soundtrack (and again on FIFA 21) with ‘Last Night’ racking up over 5 million streams to date on Spotify alone off the back of the appearance. His sync success didn’t stop there, when Christmas 2020 saw Kamakaze as the sound and face of Pepsi Max in their seasonal UK & Europe commercial.

With a bright future on the horizon, Kama shows no signs of slowing. His collaborative, introspective 2021 album ‘Wavey Shirt Wednesday II’ is just a taste of what’s to come. Keep your eyes (and ears) peeled.

LEE SCOTT

As a rapper, author, producer and co-founder of record label Blah Records, Lee Scott has been described as ‘an integral part of Hip-Hop in Britain’, with reviewers praising his albums for their ‘thick layers of peculiarity’ with ‘contradictory and self depreciating satire’.

He has been making Hip-Hop since 2003, and followed on from this by starting Blah in 2006. As well as Blah artists, Lee has worked with veteran rapper Jehst on his label YNR and has released music on High Focus Records. In early 2020, Red Bull selected Blah Records as one of its ‘seven UK-based independent labels worth shouting about’.

Mandrake Handshake

Multi-dimensional Oxford/London collective Mandrake Handshake showcase a music they call ‘Flowerkraut’: a hedonistic, brain-frying feast of Krautrock, art-pop and psychedelia, spiced with enigmatic grooves and fearless improvisations.

Since forming in 2018, their pristine chaos has garnered a Top 20 debut album, numerous festival appearances, UK/EU-wide headline tours, multiple sold-out London performances and widespread critical acclaim from Uncut to The Times. So… Grab your tambourines! Let down your hair! Fix your third-eye-liner! Come witness the spectacle…

Mowgs

Whether or not he wants to accept the title, Mowgs is Birmingham’s new prince of rap.

While his relationship with the second city has been rocky over the years—from both a music  and street-level standpoint—Mowgs’ contributions to its music scene have been integral to its growth since the release of his breakout single, “Erdz Boy”, in 2017. “In Birmingham, the city’s all against each other so it’s kinda hard to prosper,” Mowgs tells me over Zoom. “London’s a lot bigger than Brum, so even though people have disagreements, you’re still able to do your thing comfortably. But here, there’s just a lot of politics. My advice for any up-and-coming rapper in Birmingham is just stay in your lane, keep your head down, and you will be alright.” This pushback comes from experiences that haven’t always been so great for him. The 24-year-old artist has been shot and stabbed in the place calls home—with the effects of that trickling over into his music business—so, understandably, it hasn’t been so easy for Mowgs to put his ends on his back with complete confidence. For fans of his music, however, he’s flying the flag high for that authentic, pain-fuelled rap in a scene full of drillers and inconsistent 0121 legends.

Moon Age

Moon Age are an electronic duo from Stockport, consisting of Matt Hanson and Bryn Shipperlee. Formed in 2024, the pair have quickly established a signature sound that blends lush synth-pop,
groovy nu-disco and smooth electronic rhythms. Drawing inspiration from both legendary artists like Nile Rodgers and Talking Heads and contemporary acts such as Tom Misch, Franc Moody and Crazy P, they blend vintage grooves with modern funk & soul to create a unique sound that’s both nostalgic and fresh.

The project quickly made waves with the release of their 2024 debut single “Lie to Me”, a
sleek fusion of smooth vocals, shimmering synths, and groove-heavy basslines. In March
2025, they followed up with “Time is Running Out”, a sun-kissed summer banger that
further expanded their sonic palette with richer and more polished production. With a
sound that feels tailor-made for the summer stage, Moon Age will surely be setting their
sights on festival slots in the not too distant future

Notching up more than 500k overall streams in a matter of months as well as 40.3k monthly
listeners, Moon Age are a very exciting rising act with a growing fanbase and this upward
momentum is a strong indication of bigger things to come. Showing no signs of slowing down and with lots of new music in the pipeline, they will certainly be ones-to-watch over the next year!

NAH EETO

Singer, model, videographer, rapper; there is seemingly no end to Nah Eeto’s talents. The Nairobi native has spent the last couple of years bridging the gap between Kenyan and UK Hip-Hop, creating a fusion style of rap which draws on influences from both cultures. Tracks like ‘Judge Judy’ have shown how effective that blend of styles is, bringing a refreshing new energy to the UK scene in the process. That energy is forged in part by Nah’s production choices, which display an experimental and exploratory flavour. Her bilingual bars also play their part in Nah’s appeal, as she seamlessly switches from Swahili to English. A multi-talented force to look out for.

Nightbus

Originally hailing from varying parts of the north of England, set behind a backdrop of haze with their mid 20s approaching, Nightbus have quickly defined themselves as the next big thing coming out of Manchester. With their self-described late night music released on the tastemaker ‘So Young’ label, their atmospheric soundscapes beckon you into the mindset of a twenty-something, immersed in the damp, grey, vice soaked north west of England. The band had a summer of festival appearances, including Left Of The Dial, Blue Dot and Float Along, headline shows at Supersonic in Paris, Manchester and London and support shows with Bdrmm across the UK.
